About Epic Breakrooms

Thirty years in northern Utah, under two names.

We started in Logan in 1996 as Fuel and became Epic Breakrooms in the 2010s. Same state, same routes, same way of working. Shawn and Trevor run it today, and both are in the business daily rather than at a distance.

How we got here

Same company, second name.

The name changed once. The state, the routes and the people did not.

  1. 1996

    Founded in Logan as Fuel

The business started servicing northern Utah workplaces out of Cache Valley, and the routes have run from Logan ever since.

  2. 2010s

    Fuel becomes Epic Breakrooms

The rebrand came as the work shifted from machines alone to whole rooms: micro markets, coffee, fresh food and pantry programs, designed and installed rather than dropped in.

  3. Today

    Owner run, eighty strong

Shawn and Trevor run the company and are involved in the day to day rather than the quarterly. Eighty Utahns install the rooms, cook the food and run the routes. More than 400 micro markets and over 800 locations serviced across northern Utah.

Why it works this way

The owners are in the building.

Most of what a breakroom provider competes on is not equipment, because everyone has similar equipment. It is whether the shelf is full on a Tuesday afternoon and whether somebody answers when you call. That is easier to hold to when the people who own the company are the people running it. Shawn and Trevor are in the day to day. The drivers are ours, the installers are ours, and the food is cooked in our own kitchen a few miles from where the routes start. It is also why the equipment is free. We would rather earn the room every week than lock you into paying for hardware up front.

About the company

Questions about us, not the equipment.

Who runs Epic Breakrooms?

Shawn and Trevor. Both are involved in the day to day rather than sitting above it, which is the main practical difference between us and a national account with a local depot.

Why the name change from Fuel?

The company started in Logan in 1996 as Fuel and became Epic Breakrooms in the 2010s. The rebrand followed the work: it stopped being about placing machines and became about designing and installing whole rooms, with markets, coffee, fresh food and pantry programs.

Where are you based, and how far do you go?

695 West 1700 South, Bldg 28 Unit 107, Logan, Utah. The office, the warehouse and the kitchen are all in that building. The routes run from the Idaho line down through Cache Valley, the Ogden and Davis corridor, the whole Salt Lake Valley, Utah County and east to Park City.

Do you really cook the food yourselves?

Yes, in our own kitchen in Logan. Most providers this size buy prepared food in from a distributor. Ours is cooked and packed here and goes out on the same routes that stock your market, which is what keeps the turnaround short.

How can the equipment be free?

Because we make our money on the product, not the hardware. It means we have to keep the room worth using every week rather than signing you to a lease and moving on. If a site stops working for you, we have more to lose than you do.

Do we get the same driver every time?

Yes. Our drivers work for us and cover consistent routes, so the person servicing your building learns your dock, your hours and what your team actually buys.
